Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (SEM) and the MIT Sloan School of Management (MIT Sloan) are offering a 21 month Master of Business Administration (MBA) program to bring students the most comprehensive general management education available in mainland China.
Program Overview
The Tsinghua Global MBA Program, in collaboration with MIT, is tailored for future leaders who aspire to propel their careers onto the global stage while maintaining a focus on China.

The Tsinghua Global MBA Program is designed to cultivate future leaders with general management capabilities. The comprehensive and rigorous curriculum is balanced between knowledge and practice, hard and soft skills, global perspectives, and China roots.
The student will learn to think critically and strategically in a global context, from analyzing data and making effective and ethical decisions to implementing those changes creatively in culturally diverse organizations.
Admission Requirements
The Tsinghua Global MBA Program expects to admit students with proven intellect, integrity, leadership skills, and excellent development potential, who can challenge themselves and the status quo in their pursuits of success.
Admissions Criteria for International Applicants and Permanent Residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan:
- Undergraduate degree from a recognized university
- Competitive GMAT/GRE score or Tsinghua MBA Alternative Entrance Exam score
- Completed Tsinghua MBA online application and submission of required supporting materials
- At least 3 years work experience for applicants with an undergraduate degree or at least 2 years work experience for applicants with a master or doctorate degree
- Applicants are required to submit the original degree together with the degree authentication
Degree authentication should be issued by the institutions listed below:
- Degree authentication issued by the Overseas Study Service Center of the Ministry of Education of the P.R.China: http://zwfw.cscse.edu.cn/(Only for the degrees issued by overseas universities)
- Degree authentication issued by China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC): http://www.chinadegrees.cn/cn/(Only for the degrees issued by universities in Mainland China)
Note: International Candidates or Permanent Residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan can use the Tsinghua MBA Alternative Entrance Exam as a substitute for the GMAT or GRE for admission into the MBA Programs.
The test is similar to the GMAT in that it is a multiple-choice math, sentence correction critical thinking, reading comprehension test with an analytical writing component. Registration for the test is also free of charge to prospective students.
Course Structure
Tsinghua Global MBA Program is designed to deliver three core philosophies to its students:
- the theories and frameworks used by top managers to make decisions (the "knowing" component),
- the techniques and skills needed for students to become strong, effective managers (the "doing" component), and
- the values, attitudes, and ethics that will guide them as future leaders in China and the world (the "being" component).
