About the organization

SELA for Training and Protection of Heritage was established in 2015 by five members of the local communities living in the vicinity of the World Heritage Site in Petra. The company aims to protect cultural heritage, build capacities within the communities living in the vicinity of heritage and archaeological sites, and enable sustainable preservation of cultural heritage by promoting the active participation of host communities in its protection.
