University of the People is a revolutionary institution in the field of education, as it is the first accredited American non-profit university that is tuition-free and offers distance learning opportunities. As a university dedicated to providing global access to higher education, University of the People is committed to helping talented high school graduates overcome financial, geographical, political, and personal barriers that may prevent them from pursuing a university education. The university offers associate and bachelor's degree programs in Business Administration, Computer Science, and Health Science, in addition to master's degree programs in Business Administration and Education. University of the People was founded in 2009 and received accreditation in February 2014. Currently, the university enrolls more than 126,000 students from over 200 countries and territories, including 18,000 refugee students.
