About the organization
The University of Manitoba is western first university in western Canada and Manitoba's only research-intensive university, and one of the country’s top research institutions. It was established in 1877 and has more than 29,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and more than 145,000 alumni living in 140 countries. The university focuses on shaping new ways of doing things and contributing to important conversations in topics that matter most, from human rights to global health to climate change.
