About the organization

The British Ecological Society BES is a society for ecologists and those with an active interest in ecology and its application. The society’s has many activities that include the publication of a range of scientific literature, including six internationally renowned journals, the organization and sponsorship of a wide variety of events, the funding of numerous grant schemes, education outreach projects with policy and influencing work. The BES secretariat is based in London but has a global reach funding projects worldwide and influencing policymakers in the UK and Europe.
