About the organization

Averroes Academy for Freedom and Democracy is a pioneering project for learning and exchange of experiences among civil society leaders in the Middle East and North Africa region. The Academy, developed by the Arab Center for Research and Humanities, aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society leaders in different countries in the Middle East and North Africa region. Averroes Academy seeks to enable young civil society leaders in the region to acquire the scientific and practical expertise that will enable them to contribute to the success and defense of political, social and economic reforms aimed at supporting the transition to democracy, market economy and the rule of law within pluralistic and integrated societies.
