About the organization
The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation was established in 1978 as a non-profit cultural institution, initiated by the Arab Bank which allocated a portion of its annual profits for its establishment. It aims to build a scientific cultural platform focusing on scientific research, humanities studies, cultural enlightenment, and innovation, alongside promoting reading. Its cultural and social responsibility is embodied in supporting three main pillars: "leadership thinking, literature and arts, and cultural grants and innovation". Its efforts are further strengthened through launching awards and funds to support scientific research, and organizing events to engage with thinkers, researchers, and scientists. The foundation also seeks to enhance a culture of scientific research and leadership among children and youth, and achieve a society of culture and creativity through its ongoing educational and scientific programs.
