You should follow the following criteria:

• The program is available to workers in the hotel and tourism sector.
• Program Duration: (1400) training hours.
• Training mode: Mutual/ Joint (within training and production institutions).
• The applicant must have completed the tenth grade and be 16 years old.

General topics of the training program:

Upon completion of the program, the trainee must be able to:

• Preparing ovens, machines, trays and equipment.
• Preparing the necessary ingredients, weighing them or estimating them according to the type of sweets to be made.
• Mixing ingredients such as semolina, flour, sugar, margarine, cheese, chocolate and flavorings using electric or manual mixers.
• Stuffing desserts and pies with pistachios or walnuts, forming them in special molds and placing them in an oven at a favorable temperature or over a fire until they are ripe.
• Cut some types of sweets in different shapes and sizes, and serve some hot oriental sweets, such as Knafeh with cheese.
• Putting sweets that include milk cream in refrigerators, and covering Western sweets or filling them with some ingredients such as cream, honey, or some types of cut fruits or jams.
• Putting cakes, pastries and other products in boxes or on trays, and displaying them inside a glass window or in refrigerators.
• Forming some names on cake molds on occasions or according to customers’ requests, arranging them in trays, decorating them, and preparing them for sale in specific weights.
• Cleaning the oven and cleaning work tools.
• Applying procedures and instructions of the Occupational Safety and Health.

The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) was established pursuant to the temporary Law number (35) for the year 1976.
