The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts offers scholarships to students from various governorates in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and aims to provide the opportunity for students interested in working in the hotel and tourism field and expand educational options for students.
The Bachelor of Food and Beverage Management program blends culinary arts and hospitality management. Food and beverage management is part of the hospitality sector that focuses on operations in restaurants, hotels, and tourist resorts, in addition to catering companies, hospitals, etc. It also includes the administrative aspect of food-related operations, such as ordering and inventory, planning and costing, managing budgets, marketing, as well as managing staff and resources.
Benefits
The high school average and the rate of the scholarships offered by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts are as follow:
- If the average is 95% or more, the applicant will receive a 30% scholarship.
- If the average is 90% to less than 95%, the applicant will receive a 25% scholarship.
- If the average is 85% to less than 90%, the applicant will receive a 20% scholarship.
- If the average is 80% to less than 85%, the applicant will receive a 15% scholarship.
Eligibility criteria
Criteria and conditions for applying for the Bachelor of Food and Beverage Management Scholarship include:
- The applicant for the scholarship must be Jordanian.
- The applicant must be 18 years old or above.
- An original and certified copy of the Jordanian high school certificate or its equivalent with an average of 60% or above and a minimum total of 840/1400.
- A very good level of English qualifies the student to obtain a score of 4.5 in the IELTS test or 407 on the TOEFL test.
- Serious desire to learn and study culinary arts and prepare to work in this sector after completing his studies.
- A completed letter of motivation (250 words) in English explaining the applicant's reasons for wanting to study the Bachelor's Program in Food and Beverage Management at the Academy.
