Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work announces a volunteeropportunity in the Emirates, the Elderly Care Home affiliated with the Sharjah Social Services Department invites you to participate in the field volunteer opportunity "Gathering is Different in Dar Al Khair", which allows individuals the opportunity to communicate in the field with the elderly residing in the home on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, by offering various programs that include: a poetry session - health awareness - cultural and heritage questions - learning professions - a talking and communication session - reading short stories and others.
Program Schedule:
- Volunteer Period: 01/11/2024 - 30/11/2024.
- Method of participation: Field attendance at the Elderly Care Home in the Al-Juraina area volunteer days only are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
- Period: Morning shifts from 9:00 to 12:00 and evening shifts from 4:00 to 6:00.
Duties & responsibilities
- Sitting the elderly residing in the Elderly Care Home "in the field" and discussing various social topics (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
- Promoting the value of community cohesion by visiting and sitting with the elderly and providing programs and activities.
Eligibility criteria
- Participation is available for 50 volunteers.
- Number of volunteer hours: (4) hours.
- The program is available for females.
- The required age group is from 6 : 95 years.
