Eligibility criteria

You should follow the following criteria:

  • The program is available for the service sector.
  • Have a high school diploma.
  • Or an approved experience of not less than one year in the field of specialization certified by the Ministry of Labor + have been accepted in the interview.
  • Training method: Joint training.
  • The applicant must be healthy, free from communicable diseases, and not be less than 17 years old.

Training Program Objectives:

Upon completion of the training program, the trainee must be able to:

  • Organizing pre-booking procedures for rooms, and keeping a list of vacant and occupied rooms.
  • Receiving guests and customers, defining their demands and desires, and allocating rooms for them after verifying their identity.
  • Prepare a card for each guest, hand them the keys to the rooms that have been booked, and receive personal deposits from them.
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, and conveying messages to guests.
  • Receiving phone calls, responding to inquiries, and answering questions related to the hotel and tourism services.
  • Maintain guest accounts, and make sure they pay the account before they leave.
  • Checking out the guests' check-out procedures from the hotel.
  • Applying procedures and instructions of the Occupational Safety and Health.

About the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC):

The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) was established pursuant to the temporary Law number (35) for the year 1976. VTC provides its services to all citizens regardless of their education level working of the platform of lifelong continuous learning, both in vocational preparation programs of all professional levels or upgrading competency programs to raise the competency of workers on the job in the marketplace. The Corporation also provides training and consultation services in the area of safety and professional health to minimize accidents in the workplace, training of trainers and supervisors in behavioral and administrative aspects, developing the work of small and middle-size establishments, and organizing the Jordanian labor market.
