The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) is pleased to announce the organization of health and safety training coursesfor school children aged from 9 to 11 to train them to protect themselves, others, and the surrounding environment, and to develop their abilities to respond better in emergencies.

Eligibility criteria

You must be aware of the following standards:

  • Participation is open to school students aged 9 to 11 years.
  • The course period is four days (three hours daily –successive days are not required).
  • Children will mainly train on how to protect themselves, others, and the environment around them.
  • The required information will be provided to the students via distributing booklets, using data show, and holding collective games.

Egyptian Red Crescent:

The Egyptian Red Crescent Society is considered an auxiliary body to government authorities in times of peace and war, and its philosophy is based on civil activity and the voluntary efforts of members and volunteers. Being part of the international Red Cross/ Red Crescent movement, the Egyptian Red Crescent is guided by the seven principles of the movement; humanity, impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity, and Universality. It aims mainly to alleviate human suffering, especially in the areas of relief, disaster response, and public and community health, as well as spreading the concepts of international humanitarian law among different groups of society.
