Opportunity description

The Youth Day of Service (YDoS) is an annual Pan-African campaign held throughout August, aligning with International Youth Day. This month-long initiative is dedicated to fostering a spirit of volunteerism among young people across Africa, aiming to inspire them to actively engage in their communities and drive positive change.

YDoS is designed to harness the energy, creativity, and voices of Africa’s youth to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The campaign focuses on empowering young individuals by providing them with essential resources, skills, and tools needed for both personal development and community transformation. By doing so, YDoS seeks to motivate the youth to become proactive agents of change and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

This year, the campaign emphasizes building stronger connections with volunteers and enhancing awareness of its mission throughout the continent. By increasing engagement and visibility, YDoS aims to galvanize more young people to participate, thereby amplifying the impact of their collective efforts toward achieving sustainable development. Through these initiatives, YDoS aspires to foster a culture of active citizenship and social responsibility among Africa’s youth.
