Opportunity description
The WomHub Mentorship Programme empowers women entrepreneurs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Manufacturing (STEM) by connecting experienced mentors with startups and SMMEs. Mentorship is central to WomHub’s initiatives, recognizing its benefits for both mentors and mentees. Mentors and mentees are matched based on specific criteria.
The program supports mentees in the following areas:
- Founder self-support.
- Product strategy.
- Market access and go-to-market strategies.
- Operational efficiencies.
- Commercial model.
- External factors (regulation, competitor analysis, macro-economic effects, cybersecurity).
- Thematic expert engineers council.
- Pitch readiness.
- Investor landscape.
- Women in business and finance.
Eligibility for Mentors:
- Open to mentors of any gender.
- STEM or non-STEM professionals.
- Based anywhere in the world (all mentoring is virtual).
Mentor Guidelines:
- Experience/exposure to the African startup environment (strategy, product/market fit, marketing, due diligence, operations, HR).
- Commitment to six 1-hour monthly virtual sessions.
- Respect for mentee confidentiality.
- Previous mentoring/coaching experience.
Application:
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The WomHub team will contact applicants regarding training dates and opportunities to engage with the founder community.
