Opportunity description
This opportunity offers volunteers a unique experience to contribute to developing a newly established family farm on the island of Sardinia, Italy. The host family, Nadia, Robert, and their son, live there for six months each year and have experience in sustainable farming. In 2023, they purchased a piece of land to live independently.

Work Schedule
Work begins in the morning at a time agreed upon with the family. The commute to the land is either by car or a short mountain hike. Work continues until 16:00, with a lunch break outdoors. After returning home, volunteers can relax at the beach and help prepare dinner. Volunteers get two days off per week, with the option to join the family in various activities.
Program Availability and Registration Dates
- Available from October to March
- Two volunteers are needed at the beginning of February, and one volunteer (or a couple) from mid-February
- Only two volunteers per month in October, November, and December
- Minimum volunteering period: one week (priority for those staying longer)
Duties & responsibilities
25 hours per week of the following:
- Painting and Decorating
- Building and Repairing
- Gardening
- Farming
