Volunteer Opportunities in Writing and Content Creation at Core Middle East News Organisation(CME)

Core Middle East News Organisation (CME) offers a volunteer opportunity as a content writer, which considers one of the media and journalism volunteer projects. It is looking for an international volunteer who has new ideas for the articles and content of this online publication. CME offers a great placement to gain practical experience in a challenging context as a volunteer journalist. As well, you will have the chance to join the editorial team and enrich CME websites with news articles.

As a journalism volunteer, you will be responsible for:

• Working with a news agency that is covering news generally in the Middle East and in Palestine in particular. 
• Participate in research for articles, and produce content and ideas for online publication.
• Proof-read articles.
• Submit work to editors for input and approval.
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.
• Update website content as needed.
• Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems.
• Proofread and edit posts before publication.

You must have:

1. Bachelor's degree in journalism, or related field, either complete or in progress.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Knowledge of media production and communication.
4. Respond well under pressure with a strict time limit.
5. Quick and enthusiastic learner.
6. Ability to accept constructive criticism.
7. Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
8. Ambition and a desire to succeed.
9. Thorough with close attention to detail.
10. Persistence and determination.
11. No experience is required.
12. Your job will be online and in English only.
