Volunteer in Jordan with UN Volunteers: Media and Communication Specialist

United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Jordan: Media and Communication Specialist.

Duration:

• Expected start date: 01/05/2023
• Expected end date: 30/09/2024

• Create and implement a social media plan to improve WHO Jordan’s presence and visibility of work as well as educate the public about certain health topics.
• Support the activities and interventions of health promotion and wellbeing areas of work (Road Safety, physical activity, mental health…)
• Support interventions and implementation of the national communication immunization strategy (mass media, community engagement, field activities)
• Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Age: 27 - 80

Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.

Required experience:

• 3 years of experience in in social media
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Reporting skills in Arabic and English;
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel
• Proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) 
• Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to work with tight deadlines

Languages:

• Arabic, Level: Fluent, Required
• English, Level: Fluent, Required

Required education level:

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Media, Communication, social media and/or relevant fields.
