United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Jordan: Media and Communication Specialist.
Duration:
- Expected start date: 01/05/2023
- Expected end date: 30/09/2024

Duties & responsibilities
- Create and implement a social media plan to improve WHO Jordan’s presence and visibility of work as well as educate the public about certain health topics.
- Support the activities and interventions of health promotion and wellbeing areas of work (Road Safety, physical activity, mental health…)
- Support interventions and implementation of the national communication immunization strategy (mass media, community engagement, field activities)
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 27 - 80
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 3 years of experience in in social media
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Reporting skills in Arabic and English;
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel
- Proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
Languages:
- Arabic, Level: Fluent, Required
- English, Level: Fluent, Required
Required education level:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Media, Communication, social media and/or relevant fields.
