Chicken House, a UK publishing company, is organizing an annual competition for children's and young adult novels. The competition is open to entrants aged 18 or over.
To enter, you must have written a completed full-length novel suitable for children/young adults aged between 7 and 18 years. The word count should be a minimum of 30,000 words and a maximum of 80,000 words. Entries must be written in English and be original work not previously commercially published and distributed (self-published works are allowed).
The entry fee is \u00c2\u00a320. Prizes: First prize is a worldwide publishing contract with Chicken House with a royalty advance of \u00c2\u00a310,000. The second prize, the Lime Pictures New Storyteller Award, is a publishing contract with a royalty advance of \u00c2\u00a37,500, awarded to a manuscript with great potential for film and TV development.
