Opportunity description
Udacity is calling anyone with an interest in learning how to code for fully-funded scholarships opportunity. It offers about 100 scholarships to help increase education and professional opportunities in technology careers for underrepresented communities. It is an entry-level opportunity to launch your career in technology. This program will introduce you to fundamental skills of the future in a virtual classroom environment combining elements from the Intro to Programming and Full Stack Web Development.
Scholarship process:
- 7-Week Challenge Course:
- Those selected as one of 1,000 scholarship recipients will participate in an exclusive introductory program.
- 7-Month Nanodegree Scholarship Program with networking and mentorship sessions:
- Those selected as one of 100 scholarship recipients will begin the Nanodegree program. During your learning journey, you will have the opportunity to participate in networking and mentoring sessions with Citi employees and learn industry best practices from Citi engineers.
- Paid CO-OP opportunities at CITI:
- After successfully completing the program, you will have the opportunity to apply and be selected for an interview with Citi for a fully paid 6-month co-op experience working on real development projects.

Eligibility criteria
You should follow the following criteria:
- This is a fully online program with live, virtual mandatory connect sessions throughout the scholarship program.
- Any individual who is 18 years of age or older, and eligible to work in the U.S./able to provide U.S. work authorization.
- Individuals who identify as Black or Latinx are especially encouraged to apply.
- The only requirements are access to:
- A computer, and an internet connection.
- Your time and interest in learning.
Please note:
- This scholarship is at no cost to selected program participants.
- This scholarship program aims to give members of the Black and Latinx communities opportunities to develop generational wealth as well as support the progression and advancement of talent in the technology community.
Scholarship Timeline:
- January 19, 2022: Application enrollment opens.
- February 21, 2022: Application enrollment closes.
- March 10, 2022 - March 12, 2022: Complete Filtration Assessment.
- March 25, 2022: Nano-degree program scholarship recipients announced.
- March 29, 2022: Nano-degree program scholarship phase begins.
