Opportunity description
UPWARD gallery invites artists from all over the world to competition; Reflections. This Competition is open to all artists working in all traditional art media (e.g., oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media; drawing media such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencils), digital painting, arts and crafts (beadwork, pottery, embroidery, floristry, stained glass, and fabric art as well, etc.). Just submit your best work, and you have a lot of valuable prizes.

- Winners are interviewed by the UPWARD Gallery editors for publication in the quarterly printed edition UPWARD’s Quarterly and on the site in the section Interviews.
- Social Media Promotion (Instagram).
- Take part for free with two artworks in the UPWARD Gallery next competitions.
- In addition to all entrants will receive electronic certificates based on the results of the competition.
Eligibility criteria
You should follow the following criteria:
- Entrants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- You can submit your work in any medium, style, and genre.
- All works must be original.
- Acceptable mediums include all traditional art media (e.g., oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, pen, and ink; drawing media ), digital painting, and arts and crafts.
- No profanity or political artwork.
- Each participant of the competition receives his personal page (solo exhibition) on the UPWARD gallery.
- This page displays works that the artist submitted for participation in competitions, short biography text and artist statement, links to the artist's website, as well as links to social media accounts, interview with the artist.
- The participation fee is $12 for entry, $10 (2-4 entries), and $9 (5 or more entries).
Please note:
- Winners announcement: August 8, 2023 (on the Competition page at website https://upwardgallery.com).
- There will be three (3) Winners in total for each media and age category.
- Limit one (1) prize per entrant.
Judging Process:
Your work will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Artistic technique
- Handling of medium
- Design and creative elements
- Overall impression/impact
