Partially-Funded Undergraduate Scholarship from Albukhary International University in Malaysia

Albukhary International University is offering The Albukhary Scholarship Programme for undergraduate students, that was developed in 2005 with the sole intention of providing a lifeline to the underprivileged through granting them access to higher education, at no cost. Open to Malaysians and

International Students, the Albukhary Scholarship nurtures a community in which character building is achieved through an emphasis on community service. Through the network of universities in Malaysia, Albukhary Foundation sponsor ed students in 17 universities across the country.

1. The duration of this scholarship is a maximum of 6 semesters for undergraduate degree programs, 3 semesters for Foundation Programme and 8 semesters for English conditional programmes.
2. The value of tuition fees varies according to the programme offered. Candidates will be offered a programme approved by the university Senate. Candidates are not allowed to change programmes before or after registration at AIU.
3. The value of the hostel fee is RM 300 per month. Candidates who are offered a full scholarship are required to stay in the AIU hostel. Students who are not offered accommodation must make payment to the AIU Finance Department on a monthly or semesterly basis.
4. Monthly meal allowance will only be given to students who receive a full scholarship. The value given is RM450.00 per month through cash or credit transfer to candidate’s Bank Muamalat account.

1. This scholarship is only offered to academically qualified candidates to pursue a Bachelor's Degree Programme, Foundation Programme and English language classes at Albukhary International University (AIU).
2. Scholarships are offered to candidates aged 18 to 22 during the academic year of admission at AIU.
3. Candidates must be single at time of application and throughout the course of study at AIU.
4. Scholarships are offered to candidates from low-income families; below 300 USD.
5. Scholarship will only be offered to one (1) candidate per family. Candidate with a family member who has received scholarship from the Albukhary Foundation will not be offered.
6. Candidates are not allowed to work throughout the course of study at AIU and cannot receive other scholarships/financial aid while under the sponsorship of Albukhary Foundation.
7. There are two categories of scholarships offered – full scholarships and partial scholarships. Full scholarships include full tuition fees, hostel fees and monthly meal allowance. Partial scholarships cover one or two of the items mentioned.

• Passport or ID card or death certificate of parents.
• Statement of monthly income of working parents.
• Declaration of income for parents who do not have an income statement or who are not
• working that are verified by authorities from candidates’ community.
• Monthly water or electricity bill.
• Pictures of candidates’ house.
