Vocational Training Corporation in Jordan is offering hospitality and tourism sector vocational training program titled (Hotel Room Housekeeper Diploma). That is level one (skill specific), equals five years of experience.

program duration:

Two semesters with an overall length of 700 hours.

Tasks:

student works under the supervision of a room manager and general, to prepare equipment, materials for cleaning rooms and floors, cleaning and preparing rooms and their facilities, and applies occupational safety and health procedures. And duties in detail are:

1. Receiving materials required for cleaning and preparing rooms and floors.
2. Checking and preparing the cleaning machine and carpet washing machine.
3. Checking and preparing the cleaning cart with cleaning, disinfecting and polishing materials.
4. Providing rooms with guest linens and necessities (brochures, stationery).
5. Arranging and storing linens and towels in the private warehouse.
6. Cleaning the room, polish the glass, and the furniture.
7. Cleaning and equipping bathrooms, and providing them with supplies such as soap, shampoo, sanitary paper (toilet), bathrobes, towels, etc.
8. Applying of occupational safety and health procedures.

1. Trainees, whose families benefit from the Aid Fund, get a monthly transportation allowance, and paying the allowance for training services and wages on their behalf.
2. Graduates get recognized training certificates by the Civil Service Bureau.
3. The possibility of replacing the training certificate with a professional practice certificate issued by the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Authority.
