UN Volunteers is announcing an online volunteer opportunity in the field of online video editing to help put together and complete the video elements for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3). The video will include voiceover, Turkish sign language interpretation and subtitles to promote accessibility and inclusion.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Integrating a video of the Turkish sign language interpreter with the accompanying audio.
- Ensuring that the timing of the video, audio, and subtitles are perfectly synchronized.
- Adding Turkish and English subtitles based on the provided script.
- Delivering the final edited video in high-resolution MP4 format.
- Collaborating with the project coordinator via email or virtual meetings to ensure alignment with campaign expectations and goals.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Proficiency in video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or equivalent).
- Experience in synchronizing video and audio elements for a smooth presentation.
- Ability to add and format subtitles in Turkish and English.
- Ability to meet deadlines and incorporate notes into the final video.
- The program encourages volunteers with disabilities to apply for this opportunity.
- Proficiency in Turkish.
- A working knowledge of English is preferred.
