Photocrowd is announcing an online photography contest called “Made of Wood.” No society would be what it is today without wood. Wood has given us shelter, allowed us to travel, transport goods by sea, road and rail, and farm the land. Of course, it has provided us with warmth, and so much more. So look around you and see the impact wood has had on our lives, whether functional or decorative. Use your photos to show your appreciation for the skill, creativity and craftsmanship behind the pieces made from wood, and allow the viewer to see something new in what might otherwise be an everyday object like a serving platter, a shovel handle, a chair or a simple wooden building.

- This unique competition is worth 1.5 times the standard points towards your leaderboard ranking.
- The jury is made up of the best photographers around the world, who will select the best entries and provide valuable feedback to help you improve your entry.
Eligibility criteria
- Every image submitted will be available for public evaluation once the submission period has ended.
- You will be able to see all images uploaded to the competition, but you will need to evaluate them to see their ranking once the evaluation period begins.
- This competition is judged by a panel of experts and voted on by the public and your scores from each will be combined.
