Communication Arts announces its online Interactive Media Design Contest, the winning entries of which will be selected by an international panel of distinguished developers, interface designers and creative directors to be distributed worldwide at the annual Communication Arts Interactive Expo, in print and digital editions and on the commarts website.

Eligibility criteria
- All projects related to interface design, edutainment software, or interactive product displays can apply for this competition.
- The competition does not accept any printed entries or digital photos.
- All of the following can apply for this opportunity:
- Websites/microsites used for any purpose (including advertising, news, e-commerce, education, and entertainment) that use browser-based technologies apply to this opportunity.
- Social networking apps, extensions, and games designed for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. can apply for this contest.
- Apps, tools, branded experiences, and games designed to run natively on your Mac or PC desktop/laptop.
- Mobile-optimized apps and websites, games, and location-aware services designed for iPhone, Android, Windows, etc.
- Tablets/Mobile Devices: Apps, games, e-books, and interactive sales presentations designed for tablets and mobile devices other than mobile phones.
- Interactive installations, kiosks, tables, in-store/window displays, out-of-home experiences, trade shows, museums, corporate showrooms, etc.
- Other Interactive Media: Any projects not covered in the previous categories where interactivity is an integral part of the user experience.
- Student Work: Any interactive projects created for schoolwork.
- All entrants will grant the Communication Arts Foundation the right to reproduce the work selected in the interactive competition on the Communication Arts website and in materials used to promote the magazine, the competition and/or related future promotions.
- Entries must be entered through the online contest system no later than midnight (Pacific Time), October 13, 2023 after which date the contest will charge a $10 late fee per entry. No entries can be made after October 27, 2023.
- All applications are final and registration fees are non-refundable.
- The organization accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal through its online system. Your Entry Fee will appear on your statement as (“Compartments Contest Fee”). The competition also accepts checks, international money orders, and wire transfers, but checks must be made payable to Communications Arts. Contestants from outside the United States wishing to pay by check must send a check in US funds drawn up in a US bank. Please attach a copy of your invoice to your check or money order. The contest will incur an additional fee of $25 (US) to cover fees charged by banks to process transfers. If you would like to pay via bank transfer, please contact contest@commarts.com for bank information.

About Communication Arts:
Communication Arts Illustration Contest introduce your work to the world. The winning entries will be selected by a jury of distinguished designers, art directors and illustrators, and all winning illustrations will be distributed in Communication Arts galleries around the world, in addition to printing the winning works electronically and on paper and publishing them on commarts.com. Each winning participant will receive distinguished awards and certificates of appreciation issued by companies, individuals and clients.
