FilmFreeway announces online short comedy film festival in the USA. The second live screening of the winning films will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 1pm at The Atlantic Theaters (aka Beaches Vineyard) in beautiful Atlantic Beach, Florida. There are four different sections to enter the competition, although the earlier you enter and the shorter your film, the lower the entry fee.
- Middle school, high school, and college/tech/film students can use promo code “COMEDYSTUDENT” to receive 20% off the registration fee.
- Military and police personnel and early entrants to the contest can use promo code “BOBHOPE” to get a 20% discount on the registration fee.
Benefits
Winners will be honored in the following categories:
- Best black comedy
- Best Sneaky/Difficult Comedy
- Best romantic comedy movie
- Best satire/parody/comic
- BEST SCREWBALL/SLAPSTICK COMEDY
- Best animated comedy film
- There is also a "Best Comedy of All Time" award for all sections for films that do not fall into the categories listed above.
- Best comedy screenwriter
- Best comedy director
- Best comedian
- Best Comedy Actress
- Best Cinematography in a Comedy
- Best Editing in a Comedy Film
- Best HMUA in comedy
- Best Music in a Comedy Film
- Best F/X in a Comedy
- Winners will be emailed certificates of appreciation in PDF format for home printing and in JPG and PNG format for online sharing.

Eligibility criteria
- One registration fee per film qualifies your film for all of the above awards.
- You will retain all copyright and ownership of your contributed work.
- Filmmakers, cast and crew, their friends, family and film fans can participate in the live event, which will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, for free.
