Opportunity description

HKPAX invites the global performing arts community to the Inaugural Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo that will take place between 14 and 18 October 2024, in which a series of amazing performances and related events will be held at the HKPAX, facilitating networking and collaborations. Global application for two of the highlighted programs – “International Showcases” and “Pitch Sessions” also opens today, calling for proposals from artists and organizations globally to participate in a competition that is a significant milestone of the region’s arts and cultural scene.

An allowance of USD $ 10,000 will be provided to support each successful applicant in International Showcases category for their travel and accommodation expenses.

Eligibility criteria

You should follow the following criteria:

The applicant must:
be a recognized artist or group specialized in the performing arts field.
be available for the entire HKPAX period (14–18 Oct 2024).
For International Showcases:
- have previous touring experience and be available to tour.
- have the financial and human resources necessary to undertake international touring.
- submit ONE application only.
- submit a performance video under one hour in duration (work-in-progress projects will not be considered).
- The duration of each showcase should be within 45–60 minutes.
For Pitch Sessions, the proposed project must:
- have received its premiere but not yet toured outside its region of origin.
- or be under planning and development for a premiere within the next two years.
Satisfy specific eligibility criteria per discipline.
