The GLANZLICHTER international competition is open to anyone who practices nature photography. The competition includes nine categories:
- Magnificent Wilderness | Landscapes
- The Beauty of Plants and Fungi | Plants & Fungi
- Nature as Art | Shapes, colors and abstractions
- Artists on Wings | Birds
- The World of Mammals | Mammals
- Diversity of all other Animals | Other animal species
- Moments in Nature | Special moments of nature
- Aerial Views of Nature | Aerial photography

Entry fee: 20 € per person.
Prizes:
- The overall winner will receive 2,500 €.
- Each of the category winners will receive 500 €.
- The Junior Award winner will receive 500 €.
