Opportunity description

The European Solidarity Corps is offering an exceptional volunteering opportunity at the Asociación Europa 2020 for a total of 48 weeks during the period from 11 October 2022 to 11 September 2023, in Puente Genil in Spain. The purpose of this project is for young volunteers to improve their skills, gain more training and experience and increase their social and personal skills. 

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Ability to take part in school life (3-16 years) to be there and support them in their educational development in order to get young people involved in public participation.
  2. Main tasks will be assisting school teachers, developing Creative Activities/Workshops, Supporting Children/Youth Special Needs, Conversation assistant Workshops Languages, Dining Room Monitor Support, organising and leading outdoors activities for a summer school (June-August), playing games with kids. At the same time they will participate in the promotion of the ESC, Erasmus + European citizenship and mobility. Supporting
  3. The volunteers will have to participate on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation organised by the Spanish National Agency. The volunteers are expected to take part into a pre-departure training organized by their sending organisations before their arrival. The volunteers have access to the Online Linguistic Support during the whole duration of the project.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Open and outgoing in learning to communicate and jump into action.
  2. Sensitive to cooperation and solidarity, curious, open to others, interest in intercultural communication and to be critical and creative in his ability to participate constructively in the life of the institution.
  3. Organizational skills, team spirit and interested in education would also be appreciated, self-reliant.
  4. Good command of Spanish/English is appreciated but not mandatory.

 Benefits:

  1. The volunteer will be hosted in a shared apartment with other volunteers (4 in total), located in the center of the town. Will have a separate bedroom, shared kitchen, living room and bathroom. The volunteer won’t need to take public transportation to move around.
  2. The volunteer will receive, monthly, an amount of money for food (160 €) per month) and pocket money (150 € per month).
