Fully Funded Undergraduate Scholarships from SIUE

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is offering the Meridian Scholarship for international students all over the world. The Meridian Scholarship is SIUE's premier academic scholarship. Meridian scholars receive four years of tuition, fees, room and board.

• This award covers full tuition at the undergraduate rate, mandatory and course fees, SIUE housing costs to live in University Housing equivalent to the rate of a shared room in Bluff, Prairie or Woodland Hall, and meals at a specified rate.
• One of the allotted 8 semesters may be applied toward costs associated with an SIUE approved study abroad program up to $5,000.
• Students living in University Housing other than a shared room in Bluff, Prairie, or Woodland Hall will be responsible to cover any difference in housing costs. 
• The Meridian Scholarship does not pay for off-campus housing, for meals for students choosing to live off campus, or for additional charges related to choosing a meal plan other than the regular Meal Plan. 

• The Meridian Scholarship is valid fall and spring semesters and will be continued, if renewal conditions are met, for eight semesters across four academic years.
• In order to obtain the appropriate visa for study in the U.S., international students must provide proof of financial resources to cover the cost of this health insurance plan and any additional living expenses, such as transportation costs, supplies, and personal expenses, which are not covered by the scholarship.
• International students are not eligible to combine this award with any other SIUE scholarship or award. 
• Continuance or renewal of the scholarship each year requires completion of full-time enrollment each semester (minimum 12 hours) and a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
• Admitted freshmen will be considered with a cumulative 3.5 high school GPA (4.0 scale).
• Average profile of selected scholars: 3.92 GPA.
• U.S. and international students are eligible. The Meridian Scholarship is not available to transfer students.
