Fully-Funded Master of Science in Financial Engineering by WorldQuant

WorldQuant University is offering free Master of Science in Financial Engineering (MScFE). Financial Engineering is a multidisciplinary field that combines financial theory, mathematics applications, engineering methods, and programming practices — making the field a good fit for students from a range of backgrounds.

We’ve found that students with undergraduate experience in mathematics and programming have the best rates of success in the Program, but we encourage those qualified, interested, and committed to apply.

Length and commitment:

20-25 Hours a week for two years.

Program is completely free.

The skills listed below are not required, but are a good indicator that you are a good fit for the Program:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or economics
• Experience in analyzing datasets
• Undergraduate-level lab science course (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.)
• Experience in at least one programming language such as Python, C++, Java, etc.
• Undergraduate-level proficiency in Maple or R
• Experience with Discrete Optimization
• Relevant work experience

Requirements:

• Government-Issued Photo ID (e.g. national ID card, passport, or driver’s license)
• Official transcripts from highest college/university degree earned (Bachelor’s degree required)
• Proof of English proficiency (Duolingo English Test, TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE scores). Remember, you will have to complete your profile and upload your documents in one sitting.
• Passing score (75% or above) on Quantitative Proficiency Test. Remember, you will have to complete your profile and upload your documents in one sitting. Upon submission of the preliminary portion of your application, you may proceed to take the Quantitative Proficiency Test to determine your mathematical and statistical proficiency. It may take up to three hours and must be completed in one sitting, so make sure you have enough time before you begin. To be eligible for admission, you must earn a minimum passing score of 75%.
