The Jordanian-American Exchange Commission, Fulbright, is offering a fully funded 9-month scholarship to teach Arabic as a foreign language to American students. This program also offers Jordanian teaching professionals and those interested in this field the opportunity to join the teaching staff to teach Arabic as well as the opportunity to develop English language skills and teaching techniques.
What Does Fulbright Cover:
This scholarship covers the following:
- Visa Fees.
- Round-trip airfare tickets.
- University enrollment and registration fees.
- Monthly living allowance.
- Health insurance during the scholarship period.
Eligibility:
Minimum Requirements:
- To be a Jordanian national.
- You must have a bachelor's degree.
- You have no more than 7 years of practical teaching experience.
Note: Fulbright Students enter the United States on an Exchange Visitor (J-1) visa, under a Department of State exchange program, and are subject to the two-year home-country residency requirement, at the end of their award in the U.S.
About Fulbright Jordan:
The Jordanian-American Education Exchange Commission, also known as the Fulbright Commission in Jordan, was established through a bilateral agreement signed in May 1993 between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United States with annual funding by both countries. The Committee seeks to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the Jordanian and American peoples by facilitating academic and cultural exchanges for American and Jordanian citizens. The Commission is an independent, nonprofit, and national organization responsible for administering prestigious grants awarded on a competitive basis to Jordanian and American students, teachers, and scholars to study, teach, lecture, and conduct research in the United States and Jordan, under the Fulbright Worldwide Exchange Program.
