FIIN is accepting entries for Biodiversity Photography contest 2023.
The main objective is to promote the theme of biological natural heritage, namely the natural regions, ecosystems, habitats and species of wild fauna and flora, through the selection and classification of photos related to this theme, according to criteria defined in this regulation. It also aims to promote photography of nature and promote its growth and development, in addition to seeking to launch the debate and reflection of society on the need to know, promote and conserve biodiversity.
The theme of the contest is wildlife, approached from the point of view of it’s a esthetics, the technical quality of photography and the message of conservation and protection of the values of biodiversity.
The categories foreseen in this Competition are:
- Birds
- Other Fauna
- Flora and Fungus
- Landscapes and natural habitats
- Only works that deal with wild fauna and flora will be accepted.
Benefits
The prizes to be awarded by category are the following:
- 1st prize | 400 euros
- 2nd prize | 150 euros
- 3rd prize | 100 euros
Eligibility criteria
- The participation in the Contest is open to any Participant.
- The following shall be admitted:
- Photos in digital format with the following requirements: Minimum size of 3000 pixels in the largest measurement. RGB/CMYK and in JPEG image format.
- Photos that do not contain author's signature, watermarks, frames or identification in the metadata.
- The registration in the Contest implies the payment of 5,00 € (five euros) per Participant. The payment referred to in number 1 must be made by PayPal (tesouraria@cmvilareal.pt).
- Each Participant may submit a maximum 2 (two) photos for each of the categories provided in the Competition
