Projects Abroad announce an exchange program to study Spanish in Costa Rica. This opportunity will help you learn the basics of the Spanish language, or improve your knowledge of Spanish by studying with a professional language trainer and then you will be able to practice those new words and phrases with native speakers and your host family. You must be 16 years old or older to participate in this opportunity.

- Improve your Spanish language skills through personal lessons and various learning opportunities.
- This opportunity is a great cultural exchange experience as immersion in the language and interaction with the host family and locals which will enable you to learn about the Spanish culture and way of life, which will leave you with a deeper understanding of the different traditions and practices of Spain.
- You will also become part of the Foundation's ongoing efforts to support local communities, You can choose to combine your language course with one of the other Foundation projects such as the Children's Care project, in which you will help children with their early childhood development and teach them English. Or you can help primary school children improve their language skills by teaching them English.
- You will gain an increased knowledge of the Spanish language and a significant improvement in your grammar and conversational skills specific to the language.
- You will stay with a host family in Liberia who will welcome you into their home, share their customs, and teach you your own culture.
- The Foundation will allow you to live alongside at least one Project Abroad volunteer or intern in the same host family. Your room will be modest, but comfortable, clean, and safe.
- The program fee includes three meals a day.

Eligibility criteria
- This project is tailored to your level, whether you're looking to improve your Spanish or are just beginning to complete it, so you don't have to worry about keeping up with the class.
- You can study full-time before starting a project, or study part-time while volunteering or doing the internship, so you can learn while you volunteer.
- You can apply for this opportunity throughout the year, for at least one week, but it is preferable to stay longer to hone your skills as much as possible.
- Costs are determined by length of stay.
