DO’s Affirmative Procurement Training Program for Women Entrepreneurs

This intensive training program for women entrepreneurs in Abuja, Nigeria, focuses on enhancing affirmative procurement skills and knowledge. The program covers bidding for procurement contracts, creating effective proposals and presentations, leveraging technology for revenue growth, improving social media presence, monitoring consumer behavior, and building business websites. Participants will also learn about affirmative procurement policies and strategies, adapting to economic fluctuations, and identifying opportunities. Networking with other women entrepreneurs and learning from procurement professionals are also included.

Eligibility:

• Women-owned or women-led businesses operating in Abuja.
• Commitment to attending all training sessions.
• Priority given to informal or early-stage businesses.
• No strict financial requirements; businesses with limited resources are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to formalize business operations.

Criteria for Women-Owned/Led Businesses:

• Women-Owned: At least 51% women ownership.
• Leadership: At least 20% women ownership and women in key leadership roles.
• Board Representation: 30% female representation on the board.
