Opportunity description
The writing competition is open to all school-age students, divided into three age groups:
- Junior: 5-10 years old
- Intermediate: 11-14 years old
- Senior: 15-18 years old
Theme: Surprise, Surprise!
Guidelines:
- Write a poem or story about a surprise.
- Write a poem or story with a twist in the tail.
- Write a description of a character who was not what they appeared to be.
Word Count: 500 words max
Closing Date: 28 February 2025.
Entry: Free
Top Prize: £300 for winner and £1000 for their school library.
