Opportunity description
Applications are now open for the role of mentor in the Community Exchange Program (CEE) for 2025. The CEE Program aims to appoint mentors who are experts in civil society from around the world, including the United States, to support the program’s fellows throughout their fellowship experience. Mentors will connect fellows with resources and networks and contribute to events and initiatives such as initial orientation and the final workshop.
Requirements for Selected Mentors:
- Complete in-person mentoring training.
- Participate in the orientation for CEE fellows in the United States, scheduled from March 7 to 14, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois, and the final workshop in Washington, D.C., from June 23 to 27, 2025.
- Attend an onboarding call with IREX and Combs and Company on October 30.
- Complete and review pre-departure orientation (PDO) materials via the Canvas platform from December to March 2025.
- Participate in the online mentor program kickoff event hosted by IREX and Combs and Company on December 11.
- Contact trainees individually via email on January 7 and engage with them before they arrive in the U.S.
- Participate in two virtual live sessions before traveling to the U.S.
- Conduct a 30-minute online review call with a designated leadership coach before traveling to the U.S.
These activities are designed to ensure mentors are well-prepared for their role and to enhance the fellows' experience in the program.
