Opportunity description

Tashkeel platform announces a visual storytelling workshop for children from 7 to 11 years old in the UAE, as part of the summer camp activities. Artist Anja Bamberg will guide young artists on an immersive journey through the Al-Safa Library, in search of captivating stories to breathe life into their creations. Children will explore the worlds of collage and drawing, using these stories as their inspiration.

Eligibility criteria

  • This workshop will take place from 10 am to 1 pm on July 23, 2023.
  • This workshop is open to children from the age of seven to the age of 11.
  • Only 15 places left in this workshop.
  • The participation fee for this workshop is AED 250.00 (+ VAT).
  • The amount paid will be non-refundable

About Tashkeel:

Latifa bint Maktoum established the Tashkeel Center in Dubai in 2008 to provide an incubating environment for the development of contemporary art and design practices in the United Arab Emirates. The center opens the door to creative and experimental practices and dialogue between practitioners and the community at large, as it provides multidisciplinary studios, workspaces, and exhibitions in Nad Al Sheba and Al Fahidi neighborhoods. Tashkeel adopts an open membership model and its annual program of training, residencies, workshops, discussions, exhibitions, international collaborations, and publications aims to support the development of artistic practitioners, engage the community and promote a lifelong learning approach as well as support the various creative and cultural industries.
