A Training Course in the Field of the Oriental Sweets Industry in Jordan from the Vocational Training Corporation

The Vocational Training Corporation in Jordan offers a training course in the field of the oriental sweets industry. The program consists of 3 semesters with a total of 1400 hours. The period of specialized training is one semester, and the period of the special foundation is 4 weeks, with an average of 100 hours, which are counted within the period of training in the workplace. You will get lectures and training in the sciences of the profession for a period of 90 hours. The duration of the internship is 210 hours, the field training is 325 hours, and the experience period you will get is 700 hours. The field training period will start on November (11) each year, and the experience period will start on March (3) and will continue for 6 months. You will work individually as you will prepare the tools and ingredients for oriental sweets, prepare and shape different types of oriental sweets, clean work tools, and implement occupational and public health and safety procedures and instructions.

Upon completion of the training program, you will be able to:

1. Prepare the ovens, machines, and trays.
2. Prepare the necessary ingredients, and weigh or estimate them according to the type of oriental sweets to be made.
3. Mix ingredients such as semolina, flour, sugar, ghee, and cheese using electric or manual mixers.
4. Stuff the compounds with pistachios or walnuts, form them in special molds, or spread them in trays such as baklava, kunafa, and namoura.
5. Prepare the syrup, pour it, and cut some kinds of sweets in different shapes and sizes, or leave them stretched in trays after sprinkling grated coconut or ground pistachios on them.
6. Some oriental sweets are served hot, such as kunafa with cheese.
7. Puts sweets that include milk cream in refrigerators arranges them in trays, decorates them, and prepares them for sale in specific weights.
8. Clean the oven and work tools.
9. Apply the occupational and public health and safety procedures and instructions.
