Residency in Hawaii for Artists with $2000 Stipend from the National Parks Arts

The National Parks Arts Foundation is offering the opportunity for artists who want to enjoy summer Hawaii Volcanoes National Park residencies, and be close to some of the best beaches on the island with $2000 stipend. The first of these residencies is a one-month term in June 2020. The residencies are open to families, single artists, artist couples, artist collectives, and artist troupes. The Park boundaries include two legendary and sacred volcanoes, Kilauea and Mauna Loa, as well as rainforests and mysterious and ever-changing active lava flows. This is a unique dramatic environment for all artistic media to flourish and to inspire new breakthroughs in process and result.

Benefits:

1. The residency includes a $2000 residency, a studio, housing, events, publicity, a Dolphin & Manta Ray Excursion.
2. The residency features a public presentation at the park and a converted studio space at the house.
3. Amazing two-story 3 bedrooms, meditation area and art studio conversion with panoramic views of the ocean.
4. There will be a solo recording booth in the house for music, podcast and all sound recording.
5. Watching pods of whales migrate as you create your art.
6. There will be artist events and workshops.

The Conditions:

1. Participation fees of $55 should be paid for the single artist contribution.
2. Participation fees of $110 should be paid for artist couple distribution.
3. Participation fees of $150 should be paid for a group or collective.

Timetable:

1. The first residency is for songwriters only with residency dates (June 1^st- June 26^th ) 2020.
2. The second residency is for all media and with residency dates (July 1^st- June 29^th ) 2020.
3. The third residency is for all media and with residency dates (August 3^st- August 28^th ) 2020.
4. The fourth residency is for all media and with residency dates (September 1^st- September 25^th ) 2020.

• The notification will be on November 24^th, 2019.
