Under the auspices of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology, Elsevier has established four young investigator paper awards to be presented at the International Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology that is organized every four years.
The awards were established in 2016 and 2017:
- The Mary Brazier Young Investigator Paper Award (2016, thereafter once every 4 years starting 2018)
- The William Cobb Young Investigator Paper Award (2016, thereafter once every 4 years starting 2019)
- The Herbert Jasper Young Investigator Paper Award (2017, thereafter once every 4 years, starting 2020)
- The Grey Walter Young Investigator Paper Award (2017, thereafter once every 4 years, starting 2021)
Eligibility Criteria:
- A full-length original research paper published in Clinical Neurophysiology.
- Young investigator status defined by an age limit 35 years on December 31 in the year the candidate paper was published in Clinical Neurophysiology.
- The first author of the candidate paper.
Awards:
- The paper awards consist of a prize of 5,000 EUR each and a certificate.
- The next Young Investigator Paper Awards will be presented at the next ICCN in 2022 (Melbourne, Australia). Awardees must attend the Congress and will make a short presentation of their work at the Congress.
About the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (IFCN):
The Federation has four chapters which are the Asian-Oceania; Europe, Middle East, and Africa Chapter; Latin America; and North America, each chapter has a representative or the Board of Directors. Chapters share a common goal, to preserve and to improve clinical neurophysiology in their national societies and promote best practices in clinical neurophysiology through education and research throughout the world.
