Xposure’s team in the United Arab Emirates invites international photographers and filmmakers of all ages, backgrounds and experience to participate in the International Photography & Film Competitions for 2020.

Participation rules:
- Employees of Sharjah Government Media Bureau, and each of their affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, are not eligible to enter or win a prize in the main categories, however, there is a restricted category for Sharjah Government employees
- The photograph should be suitable for public display, printing and publication. The JPG file format should be used and the preferred resolution is 300 dpi and preferably in a ratio of 3:2
- The ultimate photograph size should be close to 5,000 pixels on the longer dimension. Photographs that were not captured at this resolution are accepted as long as they are over 2700 pixels on the long dimension
- Photographs may be colour profiled in RGB, Adobe-1998, or not colour-managed
- Up to ten images may be entered, distributed in any ratio across the competition categories and each entry must clearly state the category for which submitted
- Photographs must be taken or produced in the past 3 years
- An entry consists of one photo, in addition to the completed title, caption, place taken and date taken
Prizes:
- Overall Winner: $3,000, digital imaging equipment, flights and accommodation to the awards ceremony in Sharjah, inclusion in the Xposure festival exhibition and publication in the Year Book
- Category Winners: $1,500, digital imaging equipment, flights and accommodation to the awards ceremony in Sharjah, inclusion in the Xposure festival exhibition and publication in the Year Book
- Category Runner-up: $750, inclusion in the Xposure festival exhibition and publication in the Year Book
- Shortlisted: Online exhibition and displayed during the Xposure Festival

Xposure is the official educational and imagery photography platform that combines a broad range of photography events including exhibitions, workshops, seminars, presentations, competition and photo walks. It consists of a team working in Sharjah who is passionate about photography and dedicated to supporting the visual language in all its splendid genres. They are keen to recognize and promote regional and international emerging photographers and filmmakers to show their work and open the door to new opportunities.
