Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Western Australia offers a number of merit-based scholarships for international students from Algeria, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen who want to pursue the University's undergraduate program for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Value:
The scholarship covers 10% of the tuition fees for the duration of the course.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, the Applicant must:
- Be a citizen of one of the following countries: Algeria, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Tunisia or Yemen.
- Not be New Zealand or Australian citizens or Australian Permanent Resident.
- Study at ECU Joondalup, ECU Mount Lawley, or ECU South West (Bunbury) Campus.
- Not be in receipt of a government scholarship or industry sponsorship.
- Commence study in 2021.
- Meet a high level of academic achievement in your previous studies (as determined by ECU).
- Meet ECU’s direct academic entry requirements for the course of your choice.
- Study in one of the undergraduate programs available at ECU except the following:
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing);
- Bachelor of Science (Midwifery), and
- Bachelor of Science (Paramedical).
Additional Terms and Conditions:
- The scholarship recipient must be in continuous good standing academically and financially.
- The scholarship recipient must maintain a full-time enrolment load of 60 credit points each semester, and not defer their studies for more than one semester during their course.
- Course transfers are not permitted without ECU’s permission.
- The scholarship funds can only be used for tuition fees and cannot be used for any other expense.
- The scholarship cannot be transferred to an ECU campus or partner outside Western Australia, or to another university.
- The scholarship can be revoked if the recipient does not accept their Letter of Offer or enroll in their course by the date specified.
- The scholarship recipient must pay their tuition fees within the stipulated payment deadlines, failure to do so will negate the scholarship.
- The scholarship recipient must comply with any applicable student visa requirements.
- The scholarship will be revoked at any stage if a student is found to have provided information that is misleading, does not meet the scholarship eligibility criteria, or does not comply with the ongoing conditions of the scholarship.
