Opportunity description

The University of Glasgow has a total of 100 Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships available to new international students for 2019 entry. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount of £5,000 per year of study and is subject to satisfactory progress for consecutive years of study. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must

  • be classed as International students for fee purposes

  • hold an offer of a place for an undergraduate program for 2019

  • demonstrate excellent academic achievement before starting University, students achieving (or predicted to achieve) the following A Level / IB grades (or local equivalent) are guaranteed a scholarship offer.

Programs:

  • All programs within the College of Arts.
  • All programs within the College of Social Sciences (excluding Law/Accounting & Finance).
  • All programs within the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences (excluding Medicine, Dentistry & Veterinary Medicine).
  • All programs within the College Science & Engineering.
  • Law.
  • Accounting & Finance.

Funding:

This is awarded as a tuition fee discount of £5,000 per year of study (maximum 4 years).

Application Process

  1. Applicants holding offers will be automatically assessed for the scholarship based on academic merit.
  2. Applicants who are being considered for the scholarship will be notified within two weeks of receiving an offer.
  3. There is no separate application form required.
