The University of Tasmania in Australia invites commencing international students to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree within the Tasmanian International Scholarships for 2018. Selection for this scholarship will be based on academic merit achieved in studies at secondary, diploma and degree level courses, and qualifications and grading scales can vary significantly from one country to another. Applications are assessed for all semester intakes and selection will be based on an applicant’s highest level qualification prior to commencing their intended study program (minimum one year duration).
Generally, applicants will require the equivalent of an overall B+ average or higher, depending on the course and scholarship eligibility requirements (with the exception of the Foundation Studies Program and Health courses). The eligibility will be assessed by an admissions officer as grading scales can vary from one country to another. To be considered for a College of Health and Medicine, applicants will require the equivalent of a minimum A average (80%) or higher in their previous studies.
As a limited number of scholarships are available for eligible health programs, selection is very competitive and will be based on exceptional achievement in previous studies. Successful applicants will receive a 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for the duration of the course, provided satisfactory grades are maintained.
