Opportunity description
Study in Holland initiative funded by the Dutch government is offering partially funded scholarships for professionals titled the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Scholarship Programme (MSP). It aims to contribute to capacity building within organizations by enabling employees to take part in short courses in the Netherlands.
Eligibility:
You must have:
- Professional and national of, and living and working in one of the countries on the MSP country list valid at the time of application.
- Current employer’s statement that complies with the format Nuffic has provided.
- All candidates must be nominated by their employer to be able to participate.
- An official and a valid passport (valid at least 3 months after the candidate submission date).
- Government statement that meets the requirements of the country in which the employer is established (if applicable).
- The age must not exceed 45 years of age at the time of the grant submission.
- Be full-time available to attend the course or program for which he or she applied for a scholarship (this does not apply to e-learning courses).
- Do his or her best to successfully complete the course or program for which the scholarship was granted within the scholarship period.
- Follow the rules and regulations and instructions of the Dutch institutions.
- One must not be employed by an organization that has its own means of staff development. Organizations that are considered to have their own means of staff development are for example multinational corporations, large national and/or large commercial organizations.
- The candidate is only allowed to submit one scholarship application. If the candidate submits more than one application only the last application will be taken into consideration.
- The scholarship application is in line with the priority areas mentioned in the country focus document.
Please note:
- Scholarships are equally distributed across the participating countries, taking into account the available budget and the quality of the applications. At least 50% of all scholarships per country are allocated to female applicants.
- MSP is not currently open to professionals applying from Syria. Applicants with Syrian nationality may apply if they are residing and working in one of the other MSP countries listed.
Application rounds in 2021:
You will have 2 candidate application rounds for individual scholarships are:
- Round 1:
- 3 February-23 March 2021 at 4 pm CET (for short courses starting between 26 July 2021 and 22 February 2022).
- Selection results will be available after 3 June 2021.
- Round 2:
- 1 September-12 October 2021 (for short courses starting between 21 February and 25 July 2022).
- Selection results will be available after 14 December 2021.
