Funded Scholarship for Graduate Research Studies Offered by the University of Monash in Malaysia

MONASH University is offering Graduate Research Merit Scholarship for all postgraduate by research degrees in priority areas of research at Monash University Malaysia.

Funding

Each scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fees, plus a living allowance as follows:

• Masters by Research - RM2,600/month (up to 24 months of candidature).
• Doctor of Philosophy - RM2,600/month (up to 42 months of candidature).   

Eligibility Criteria

1. You must meet the minimum admission requirements (academic and English language proficiency) for the relevant research degree. In general, this is equivalent to a high distinction average (H1 or First Class Honors) from a recognized university.
2. Selection for a scholarship will be based on academic achievement for each discipline as determined by Monash University Malaysia.

Conditions

1. The Monash University Malaysia Graduate Research Merit Scholarships are tenable at Monash University Malaysia only, and are not transferable to Monash University Australia.
2. As a scholarship recipient, you will need to maintain satisfactory academic progress. Failure to do so may result in your Scholarship being terminated.
3. You must not be in receipt of any form of sponsorship from other sources.
4. Malaysian citizens or permanent residents may be required to contribute 10 hours/week in academic teaching and/or research training.
5. International students must participate in Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) or research support.

1. Applications are open throughout the year. 
2. Scholarships are limited and awarded on a competitive basis.
3. Applicants must initiate course application process through the respective School. 
4. All applications consistent with the eligibility and selection criteria will be considered for a scholarship.
