Opportunity description

Sawiris Foundation For Social Development offers 10 scholarships for Egyptian high school students with disabilities to obtain their undergraduate degree from one of the prominent universities in Egypt.

The scholarship aims to provide excellent educational opportunities to the students with disabilities that would enhance their job market skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • To be an Egyptian national residing in Egypt (preference will not    be given to dual nationality holders).
  • Recent graduates from high school (Thanwya Amma) or its equivalents with a minimum score of 85%.
  • To submit a certified medical proof of disability.
  • The scholarships are awarded based on financial need as well as merit and character demonstrated through academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and social behavior.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Tuition fees.
  • Textbooks or laboratory supplies and a laptop.
  • Accommodation for expatriates at the university dorms.
  • Living allowance.
  • Training courses for students during the academic years.

Period of Funding:
 Depending on the field of study.

Application Process:

Students who are interested to obtain the scholarship opportunity should apply directly to one of partner universities. In addition, interested candidates should indicate in the university application their interest in the Sawiris Foundation Scholarship.
