Fully Funded Undergraduate Scholarships at Khalifa University in the UAE

Khalifa University (KU), along with its partners, offers a number of undergraduate scholarships for both UAE nationals and non-national students. 

Scholarship for UAE Nationals:

Full scholarships covering 100% of tuition fees are provided to UAE national students. Monthly stipends are also provided to eligible UAE national students based on their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Details are as follows. 

New Students:

• UAE nationals who are listed from in the top 10 school graduates list issued by the Ministry of Education will get a scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees in addition to a stipend of AED 8,000 (per month).
• All other UAE nationals will get a scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees in addition to a stipend of AED 4,000 (per month).

Continuing Students:

• Nationals with CGPA >= 3.8 will get a scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees in addition to a stipend of AED 8,000 (per month).
• Nationals with CGPA 3.2 – 3.79 will get a scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees in addition to a stipend of AED 6,000 (per month).
• Nationals with CGPA 2.6 – 3.19 will get a scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees in addition to a stipend of AED 4,000 (per month).
• Nationals with CGPA 2.0 – 2.59 will get a scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees in addition to a stipend of AED 2,000 (per month).
• UAE Nationals with GPA Below 2.0 will get a scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees.

Housing fees covering double occupancy for students residing more than 80km from campus.

Daily and weekend transport fees will be offered for those eligible students not receiving a stipend.

Scholarship for NON-UAE Nationals:

(a) Full Scholarships:

A limited number of full scholarships are available for non-national students with outstanding academic performance and personal qualities. These scholarships are very highly competitive.

President’s Scholarship

The President’s Scholarship is the university's most prestigious tuition grant reserved for students on the basis of their academic achievements and excellence. To be considered for the President’s Scholarship, applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and be admitted into an Engineering or Science degree program.

• International students with CGPA >= 3.3 will get a scholarship that covers 100% of tuition fees.
• International students with CGPA 3.0 –3.29 will get a scholarship that covers 75% of tuition fees.
• International students with CGPA 2.0 – 2.99 will get a scholarship that covers 50% of tuition fees.
• For international students with CGPA < 2.0 the scholarship will not cover the tuition fees.

(b) Partial Scholarships:

A number of partial scholarships are available for non-national students with excellent academic performance and personal qualities.

 Khalifa University Scholarship:

The Khalifa University Scholarship is a general tuition support grant for students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Commenced to be financial support for hardworking and deserving students, the KU Scholarships continues to incentivize a great number of students to do better. 

• International students with CGPA >= 3.0 will get a scholarship that covers 50% of tuition fees in the College of Engineering and 75% of tuition fees in the College of Science.
• International students with CGPA 2.5 – 2.99 will get a scholarship that covers 25% of tuition fees in the College of Engineering and 50% of tuition fees in the College of Science.
• International students with CGPA 2.0 – 2.49 will get a scholarship that covers 10% of tuition fees in the College of Engineering and 25% of tuition fees in the College of Science.
• For international students with CGPA < 2.0 the scholarship will not cover the tuition fees.

(c) Self-pay Scholarships:

Khalifa University offers additional financial support to students without established academic careers of excellence as a means to encourage and incentivize hard work and effort. 

Self-pay Scholarship:

The self-pay scholarship is designed to help students who strive for recognition of their academic vigor after not initially qualifying for a scholarship. Students who are admitted to KU but did not maintain academic excellence and a high GPA before joining can make the most of this scholarship to prove themselves and receives financial reimbursements.

• International students with First-year CGPA >= 3.8 will get a scholarship that covers 20% of tuition fees in the College of Engineering and 30% of tuition fees in the College of Science.
• For international students with first-year CGPA < 3.8 the scholarship will not cover the tuition fees.
