AMIDEAST is proud to announce the Public University Scholarships for Egyptians, as a part of Egypt Higher Education Initiative (HEI). This USAID funded program is a scholarship for high school graduates of year 2017/2018, to attend excellence programs at public universities in parallel with specially-designed supplementary enhancement activities such as English, leadership training, and career planning, as well as internships, community service, and study abroad. The scholarship provides opportunities in specializations important for the future of Egypt. So, there are scholarships for the excellent programs in the Faculties of Engineering, Commerce, Nursing, Science, Information Technology, Agriculture, Law, Mass Communication, Education, and Economics.
Eligibility criteria:
To be eligible, you must be an Egyptian citizen, enrolled in a governmental high school, or Experimental schools including STEM schools. There are scholarships specifically for disabled applicants. The Students must have outstanding results, must be an active participant in community activities. Applicants for faculty of Agriculture and Education will have priority.
Applicants will gain:
Successful applicants will be Studying in excellence programs at universities of: Cairo, Ain Shams, Assuit, Mansoura, and Alexandria. The Costs covered by the scholarship are the tuition fees, books, laptop, enhancement courses on basic skills, accommodation, and transportation. 65% of the students will get a chance to study a semester abroad in the United States, where they will get intensive English courses, leadership skills, and entrepreneurship. The program qualifies students to gain the practical experience needed for the job market, as the Amideast will support students at job search and placement after graduation.
